Available 24/7 from anywhere in Australia, Doctor Now allows users to request consultations at their convenience. Partner doctors provide consultations and, if appropriate, can issue medical certificates, prescriptions, referral letters, medical advice, and more.

You can discuss anything with your AHPRA-registered partner doctor that you would typically address with an in-person doctor. They are available to assist with medical certificates, new and repeat prescriptions, specialist referral letters, and much more!

Yes, online medical certificates are valid and equivalent to physical ones. The only difference is that online certificates are issued virtually. With Doctor Now, your symptoms and request for a medical certificate are reviewed, assessed, and signed by an AHPRA-registered partner doctor, ensuring compliance with AMA guidelines.

You can request a prescription through Doctor Now, where your partner doctor will review your request and assess it during your telehealth consultation, just like in a physical clinic. If deemed appropriate, your electronic prescription will be sent directly to your device.

No, appointments must be paid for at the time of booking, and it is important to ensure you can attend before making a booking. However, in rare cases where Prime Medic cancels the appointment, a refund will be issued. This may occur if: the doctor is late or misses the appointment, the doctor determines that a video consultation is not suitable for your needs, or we are unable to match you with a doctor at your preferred time.

Through Doctor Now, you can request a prescription, which will be reviewed by your partner doctor. During your telehealth consultation, the doctor will assess whether a prescription is appropriate, just like in a physical clinic. If approved, the electronic prescription will be sent directly to your device.

Your doctor will attempt to recall up to 3 times within 10 minutes. If you cant answer the call, your appointment is over and we cant refund the payment.

Partner doctors typically review requests within an hour. However, response times may vary depending on demand. If a partner doctor is unable to address your request on the same day, you may receive a call the following day.

Most medical certificate consults are reviewed within an hour. However, keep in mind that demand fluctuates. So, if a Partner Doctor doesn’t get to you on the day, you may get a call the following day.

Yes, all scripts are valid to use in  all states in Australia. They are valid up to 12 months.

Our doctors  write two referrals one with specific specialist name and address and one without. If you prefer your specialist to be referred,  check with your preferred specialist’s availability  first before asking referral. If your preferred specialist is fully booked, you can still try with general referral without specialist name (Some specialist do not accept general referral without name though)

Our appointment time is 10 minutes max for consultation.

Normally consultation will be done over the phone. If your prefer video consultation, or if your doctor need video consultation, he/she will send you an email link, and you both can join it.
